Tak Tanggung-Tanggung Dua Emas di PORDA (Porseni Daerah)

                Sangat menakjubkan melihat prestasi-prestasi yang berhasil diraih oleh teman-teman. keadaan ini mendorong ku untuk berusaha menemukan skill yang ku miliki. Saat itu aku mulai mencoba berbagai hal dalam hidup ku. Ternyata aku tertarik pada olahraga seni beladiri Kempo. Tidak tanggung-tanggung karena menyukainya aku pun menekuninya. Hampir setiap hari ku latih diriku dengan harapan bisa mengembangkan skill yang ku miliki.

Banyak tantangan  dan masalah yang kuhadapi saat itu mulai dari hal yang komplek sampai pada yang bersifat umum. Sempat terlintas dalam pikiran ku untuk menyudahi semuanya, karena lelah kurasakan ketika latihan. Semua anggapan ku berubah ketika mendapatkan support dari orang tua dan teman-teman. Seperti mendapatkan udara segar kembali, akhirnya proses latihan ku lanjutkan kembali.

Hampir setiap hari lelah yang kurasakan. Kadang aku termenung sendiri, tapi kembali ku sadarkan diriku akan ambisi dan cita-cita yang ingin ku raih. Prestasi adalah motivasi terbesar ku saat itu. Kuralakan waktu belajar ku tersita untuk berlatih. Aku tidak pernah berpikir untuk mengesampingkan pelajaran hanya saja aku harus bisa membagi waktu dengan baik. Bagi ku pendidikan sangatlah penting untuk masa depanku. Ku gunakan waktu istirahat untuk belajar demi mengejar ketertinggalan di sekolah. Memang benar ketika kegiatan latihan tersebut terlaksana semua waktu istirahat  ku gunakan untuk belajar.

Senang latihan, tampa kusadari kejuaran Bali Open sudah dekat dan pada saat itu aku direkomendasikan untuk mengikuti dua kelas seni. Sangat bangga ku rasakan sebagai atlet pemula. Aku diberikan kesempatan untuk mengikuti dua kelas. Sekarang waktunya menunjukan hasil latihan yang ku tekuni selama ini. Kejuaraan dimulai, sebagai atlet pemula aku merasa sangat gugup, tapi aku  tetap berusaha untuk tegar dan selalu berdoa.

Hasilnya sangat membanggakan, bahkan tidak pernah ku bayangkan selama hidupku. Itu terjadi begitu saja dan sangat mengagumkan. Dua emas berhasil ku kantongi dalam kejuaraan tersebut, semua orang bangga terhadap diriku tapi bagi ku itu belum  seberapa, masih banyak hal yang perlu ku kembangkan. Usaha tidak sia-sia hasilnya sangat memuaskan. Mulai saat itu aku percaya semua hal yang ditekuni pasti akan memberikan hasil yang memuaskan.  

Pengumuman Boot Camp

UWC Scholarships

3 students of SMA Negeri Bali Mandara succeded to get UWC scholarship. Thalia Viranda will study in UWC Norway. Gede Sumantara will study in UWC British & Vergie will study in UWC Netherland 

Chance to Compete with Sea Game Athlete In the Second Rector Cup Undiksa

When the Second Rector Cup Kempo of Undiksa was held, I was trained myself very hard and continuously. I want to achieve something new in my life. I want to make many people proud of my achievement.  Far before the Undiksa University published the competition, I haven’t taken some training for myself. I had to prepare for my IGCSE examination.  Of course in that moment my physical condition had been decreased. The challenge was to make my skill back to the normal condition. Very sad I felt when I heard my mother was sick also; it made me worry to her condition. Fortunately she had cured quickly. So, I can continue my training seriously.

IGCSE examination came closely to my life. All of SMAN Bali Mandara student prepared themself very well. So do I. Other than IGCSE exam I had to get training for my Kempo competition. In that moment, my friends and family supported me very much. In the competition I preferred to join fighting and art category. I believe that by my effort, my dream will come true. The competition was very exciting. In the final stage of my fighting category I had faced with Sea Game Athlete. It really was great experience for me. I had a chance fighting with Sea Game Athlete. I felt very honorable in that moment. Unluckily I got lose by him.

I still have the second chance to get my achievement, which is the art category competition. Fortunately I succeded and got the silver medal. Very proud for me able to join this great competition. Which are many participated.

            In the competition I had met with some friends. Through the competition I can keep my friendship very well. Beside joined the competition, but able to socialize to each other. Honestly it was really positive competition. In the competition we competed but outside we are family forever. I felt  very excited in the moment, my entire friend said congratulation to me. Thank you for your support.

 

Emas di Awal November

Kamis, 1 November 2012, merupakan hari yang spesial bagi seluruh siswa SMA Negeri Bali Mandara, karena berhasil keluar sebagai juara kedua pada Olimpiade Biologi Tingkat SMA Se-Bali di Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha). Prestasi ini datang dari Ni Wayan Wina Kusuma Yanti, seorang siswa kelas XI IPA dan anggota dari Biology Club SMANBARA.

Persiapan yang dilakukan sebelum mengikuti olimpiade ini telah dimulai beberapa minggu sebelumnya, dan pembinaan yang intensif sejak lima hari sebelum olimpiade. Dalam persiapan serta olimpiade tersebut, Wina tak sendiri. Ia berjuang bersama empat orang temannya; Eka Kusuma Yasa, Juniartawan, Budiarta, dan Anom Harjana.

Olimpiade tersebut diawali dengan babak penyisihan yang diadakan di Aula Kampus Tengah Undiksha.Dalam babak itu, 178 siswa dari seluruh Bali diseleksi untuk mendapatkan 20orang terbaik yang akan melanjutkan ke babak final. Pada babak itu, Wina lolos bersama Budiarta dan kemudian melanjutkan ke babak final.

Babak final terdiri dari 2 tes, yaitu tes esai dan tes praktikum. Tes pertama, yaitu tes esai, terdiri beberapa pertanyaan isian dan penjelasan. Sementara tes praktikum terdiri dari 4 praktikum yang mencakup 4 bidang khusus dalam Biologi. Dalam babak final ini, ke 20 besar finalis akan memeperebutkan posisi juara serta Piala Bergilir Gubernur Bali.

Setelah semua tes berakhir, tibalah pada pengumuman juara. Dalam acara tersebut, Wina berhasil keluar sebagai juara kedua dan mendapatkan medali emas. Tak hanya itu, ia juga sukses mendapatkan penghargaan sebagai The Best Practicum, sebuah penghargaan untuk praktikum terbaik yang memang ia idam-idamkan sejak SMP.

Walaupun, belum berhasil menjadi yang pertama, Wina tetap bersemangat. Ia akan terus berusaha untuk meningkatkan kemampuannya dalam bidang Biologi. Semua perjuangannya belum berakhir, karena ia masih mempunyai mimpi untuk menempatkan piala bergilir Gubernur Bali dalam perlombaan biologi selanjutnya di SMA Negeri Bali Mandara.

Life is never flat

                5 April 1996 is not a special day for anyone but it was a special day for my parents because they welcomed their first child birth. They gave me name Gede Sumantara Adi Pranata. People say life is never flat but for me my family life is almost flat. There is nothing special about my life, it’s only internal conflict as usual. No luxurious life but the experiences I got are priceless. Internal conflicts have made me understand more how to act to other & become more wise.

Since I was at 10 grade, my mother suffered for breast cancer. My father can do nothing except taking care of my mother who can only lied on bed. It has given my father more burden. He becomes more busy. He must manage his time between his profession and to take care of my mother.

Now almost 1 year my mother can’t to leave bed (She died March 2013). Several months ago my brother got an accident when he was buying food for my mother. That accident broke my brother bone, no surgery were done for my brother because the cost are expensive. The first time I heard that news I did not believe that, I only laughed. I believed the news when I saw the photos of my brother current condition. My mother Cok Istri Wahyuni cried for 2 days and did not want to eat. It made her health getting worst. I knew my father’s feeling when my brother got an accident, but he hid the sadness to the other and kept smiling. I knew that was only a fake smile. My father I Wayan Santa wanted to give me example to be tough and strong.

The scholarship in SMA N Bali Mandara are very helping. It lightens up my father burden to be more focus on my mother and my brother health now.

            I was only an ordinary student when I was in Junior High School at SMPN 1 Bangli. Almost no competition I joined. The only competition I joined only OSK and got 2^nd rank in the selection. The chance to join competition was so limited. The school only featured the big three in the school. The other students’ chance are being limited to show their potential in academic.

SMAN BALI MANDARA (Sampoerna Academy) has different atmosphere. When I study here, I am free to find my academic potential. I join Physic Club and now I’m in Science Class and get many chance to join competition in regional, province level. I am proud to join almost all physic competition in 11 grade.

The first experience of competition was in Ganesha University, the first and the worst rank I got. I got 64 rank in that competition which was province level. In the next physic competition in Udayana University I improved myself and got 17 rank. Then I got chance to join another Physic Olympiad which held by Malang University. In this competition, there were groups consist of 2 person. My partner was Made Gita Narendra Kumara, who is expert in Physic. The preparation for the competition was very serious there. I am proud to be one of Physic Club member of SMANBARA. Many competition, I can join in this school. I got many experiences by joining Physic competition either in the competition atmosphere, strategic and preparation.

            This school is multicultural; I like to know other friends who are from different regency of Bali. Different regency, different behavior. We need to know each other’s character. Live together there has helped me in academic. We can share and learn from others. The area of school that large school is other thing that I like. Sometimes I just walk around with some friends to refresh and hunt fruit there. I enjoy every single time in this school: singing together, laughing, studying, etc. I found my second family there. Teacher there, are friendly and they understand us as a teenagers. They are like my friend to tell what I feel, they are always listening to us. It will be unforgettable moment in SMA N Bali MAndara.

            Like another teenager, I always change my dream. Be an engineer is my dream, because my passion is physic. Ambition? I’m the person which sometime just let it flow. Some say I’m a pessimist person, but I feel I am only realistic oriented. I do not want to expect too high because when I expect too high, I will feel disappointed. I hope I can take Mathematics, English, Physic and Biology A and AS level exam and get good mark. Another wish is I can join OSN (National Science Olympiad).
