My name is Ketut Wiwik Fitriyani,
my friends usually call me Wiwik. I was born 16 years ago in small village,
Gesing. My family is a simple family,I have two brothers and one sister. My
mother name is Luh Kariasi, she is a house wife and My Father name is Nyoman Darmawan,
he was a teacher in SMAN 1 Banjar. When I was ten years old, I had a big
problem. At that moment, my father passed away. It made economic problem in my
family and my mother told me, she may not be able to continue my study to Senior
High School.
Desperately my mom said
she can not continue my study to senior high school, but I believed there are
ways to continue my study and reach my dream. One day, I heard from my teacher
in junior high school there are a school that giving full scholarship for the
student who has achievement and come from poor family. I was really happy to
hear that because I thought this is the way to reach my dream.
I tried to apply to be
student at SMAN Bali Mandara( Sampoerna Academy). I passed many steps, finally I could continue my study
at SMAN Bali Mandara (Sampoerna Academy).
At the first I stayed
here, I felt so sad because I must stay far from my family. I really miss my
mom and also my brother. But, here I have new family, not just from Hornbill
House (my family in SMAN Bali Mandara) but also from the other friends and
teachers. They care with me, when I feel sad they always give me supports. I
can share my problems to them. Not only that, in SMAN Bali Mandara I also get
many experiences like more independent and more discipline.
SMAN
Bali Mandara is different with other schools in Bali, here not only academic I
got but also nonacademic and skills for my life. At SMAN
Bali Mandara there are extracurricular, I join Balinese dance, so I can
develop my skill in Balinese dance.
Academic club is also one of the SMAN Bali
Mandara’s program. I join civic and young scientist club, I can develop my
knowledge about civic and writing. Last semester, SMAN Bali Mandara also had
community program, I was really happy to join this program because I could share
my knowledge to the society.
In junior high school I
had got some achievements that can make me accepted to be student in SMAN Bali Mandara like I ever joined physics Olympiad
in regency level, third rank in widya dharma agama Hindu, second rank in
pidarta darmawacana, participant of storytelling in regency level, third rank
in choir competition, and so on. After I continue my study in SMAN Bali Mandara
I also got some achievements like a participant of civic debate competition in regency
level, a participant of essay writing competition in Melbourne University, and
first rank in young scientist about kenakalan remaja in regional level.
My dream is not only to
get some achievement but also to have goal for my future. I want to continue my
study overseas, so I can reach my dream to be a nurse or psychologist. I really
want to be a nurse because I think to be a nurse I can take care for patients
and also I can help poor society for their health because the quality of health
in society is still bad. If not be a nurse, I want to be a psychologist because
now so many case especially teenagers like to use narcotic, infected by AIDS, or pregnant before married. So if I am a psychologist, I can help them to solve their problem and I really want
to make a home care for poor society, they can check their health without
paying.
